McAteer in the hunt for victory
Rovers travel on the back of three successive losses in League One and in desperate need of a tonic to remedy their dismal run.
The Prenton Park outfit have suffered thumping defeats against high-flying Leeds and Charlton in their last two outings and already reside in the relegation zone.
McAteer said: "Carlisle are very strong and organised and we're playing away from home.
"But we've got to go into it very positively because it's a game we've got to get something out of."
