Max not ready for Rovers

Tranmere boss Les Parry is unlikely to risk Max Blanchard for the trip to Peterborough. The utility player is edging closer to full fitness after injury and could soon be called upon with Ian Goodison and Joss Labadie both on nine bookings for the season. However, Parry said: "I could rush Max and involve him at the weekend but we could slip up with that one so we won't do that." Alan Mahon remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, while fellow midfielder Ryan Fraughan has damaged medial ligaments in his knee and will be out for around six weeks. Rookie striker Dale Jennings could return after injury, though, as Rovers seek to build on Tuesday`s thumping 3-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday.
