Tranmere have completed a deal to take West Bromwich Albion youngster Sam Mantom on a month-long emergency loan. The 18-year-old midfielder came through the youth ranks at Albion and since signing his first professional contract in the summer, has gone on to make his first team debut, spent time out on-loan with Icelandic side Haukur and gained international call-ups with England Under-17s. Manager Les Parry told the club`s official website: "I'm pleased to be able to bring Sam to the club. "He's a highly-rated young midfielder who is energetic and comfortable on the ball. I'd like to thank West Brom for allowing him to come to us for a month." Mantom is available for the Hartlepool clash on Tuesday and will go straight into the squad.
