Tranmere have extended Sunderland defender Michael Kay's loan until the end of the season. The 21-year-old joined Rovers on an initial one-month loan at the start of the month and has since made four appearances. Rovers manager Les Parry said: "I'm really pleased to be able to keep Michael with us until the end of the season. "He's put in some quality performances since he arrived and has coped well with life in League One. "He's a talented young player who has a lot of potential and is a pleasure to work with. "I'd like to thank Sunderland manager Steve Bruce for allowing Michael to stay with the club."
