Collister enjoying Timmins effect

Rookie Tranmere goalkeeper Joe Collister says he is relishing life under new goalkeeping coach Dave Timmins. Collister is preparing to embark on his second season as a professional and says he can already see improvements from Timmins' methods. Collister told the club's official website: "Pre-season was tough at first but all pre-seasons are but you've just got to grit your teeth and get through it. "Working with Dave has been really good so far. He's working us hard and I'm enjoying it. "His style is quite like John Achterberg's was. I feel a lot fitter and sharper and I'm really feeling the benefit already. "As a goalkeeper you probably do about 70% of your training away from the rest of the squad. So it's just the keepers working together with the goalkeeper coach for around an hour and a half before we then join in with the rest of the squad. So we're spending a lot of time with Dave and I'm really enjoying it."
