Barnes desperate for Rovers results
Rovers have lost their last six League One encounters and Barnes has come under pressure from supporters in the wake of their dismal run.
Yet the Liverpool legend feels his side can turn the corner by scraping together a much-needed victory over Colchester on Saturday, regardless of how they perform.
He said: "If you're winning matches and playing well then you'd accept a defeat if you get the performance, but now we just need a result.
"Maybe the performances are a bit better but the results aren't going our way.
"At the moment any little breaks that happen are happening against us."
