The 38-year-old, who has played over 300 league games for Rovers, has been called into action to cover for the injured Danny Coyne.[LNB]He has been awarded a testimonial match at Prenton Park on Monday, March 30 - a game that will feature nearly 50 ex-players and managers.[LNB]Achterberg told The Wirral News: "It is good to get a few games in again and show the people I can still do the job. Every first-team game I get now is a bonus. When Danny Coyne is fit and back again, my focus will go back into coaching and working with the keepers. But I have enjoyed rolling back the years."[LNB]Manager Ronnie Moore said: "John has done really well since coming back into the side. You couldn't fault him for any of the goals that we have conceded. And he made some good saves against Southend and Peterborough."[LNB][LNB]
