Ivory Coast international Didier Zokora has pledged his future to Tottenham by signing a new contract that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2012.
The 27-year-old midfielder moved to Spurs in June 2006 in an £8million deal from St Etienne and has made 92 first-team appearances for the club.
A graduate of the ASEC Abidjan academy, Zokora joined Racing Genk of Belgium in 2000 and was a member of their title-winning team of 2002.
Two years later he was brought to St Etienne by Spurs' sporting director Damien Comolli, who was working for the French club at the time.
Then Spurs boss Martin Jol said of Zokora's arrival at the club two years ago: "Didier was regarded as one of the best midfield players going into the World Cup and he proved that in the group stage.
"A lot of clubs were after him, we had to compete for his services and he is a very good signing."
