Zokora calm over future
Didier Zokora has refused to be drawn on speculation about where he could be plying his trade next season. Zokora has been a key player for Tottenham since moving to White Hart Lane from St Etienne in the summer of 2006. However, he has fallen down the pecking order under Harry Redknapp, particularly since the arrival of fellow midfielder Wilson Palacios in the winter transfer window. Reports suggest the Ivory Coast international may decide to leave Spurs during the transfer window in search of more regular action ahead of next year's World Cup. According to speculation in France, Marseille and Lyon are both interested in securing his services for the 2009/10 Ligue 1 campaign. It is understood that Zokora's agent Franck Belhassen has already been contacted by the French clubs but the player himself is not thinking about such matters. The 28-year-old is focusing only on Tottenham's final Premier League match of the season against Liverpool on Sunday. Asked about his future, Zokora told skysports.com: "No comment. I have a contract with Spurs, so let's wait until the end of the season. "I am calm and positive."
