Jonathan Woodgate believes Tottenham Hotspur now have an outside chance of securing European qualification for next season.
Spurs moved up to 11th place in the table after Sunday's 2-1 victory over Aston Villa and the England defender has now set his sights on breaking into the top seven.
That would likely secure a place in next season's Europa League - the new-look UEFA Cup format - and Woodgate is confident that goal can now be achieved.
"Winning at Aston Villa was a big result for us, but I would rather be optimistic rather than pessimistic," he said.
"I'd rather look up than down, try to win as many games as we can.
"We are on a good run. Europe? We have a chance but let's not get carried away.
"We have got a lot of work to do still, a lot of teams to play around us as well, so hopefully we can get involved in it."
