Tottenham have received a boost ahead of their Champions League group stage debut with the news Luka Modric may be fit enough to face Werder Bremen.Modric limped off in the 1-1 draw at West Brom on Saturday, but his leg injury is not as bad as first feared. Spurs are without Jermain Defoe and Michael Dawson (both ligament damage).
