Midfielder Tom Huddlestone has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 21-year-old rising star has committed himself to the north London club until 2013 after impressing Juande Ramos since the head coach's arrival at White Hart Lane midway through the last campaign.
The former Under-21 international made 47 appearances in the 2007-08 season and earned a first call-up to the full England squad for the friendlies against the USA and Trinidad & Tobago at the beginning of June.
Spurs paid £2.5million to sign the Nottingham-born midfielder from Derby County in 2005.
"The club is delighted to announce that Tom Huddlestone has signed a new five-year contract, committing his future until 2013," read a Spurs statement.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have also snapped up teenage Italian goalkeeper Mirko Ranieri from Perugia.
The 16-year-old youth international will join the academy ranks at White Hart Lane.
"Mirko is 6ft 2" and an excellent shot-stopper," sporting director Damien Comolli told the club's official website.
"His distribution and decision making is improving all the time. He's a highly-intelligent individual and another very good young goalkeeper we've attracted to the club."
