Preview: Tottenham v Everton

Everton's recent revival will be put to the test at White Hart Lane when they take on Harry Redknapp's fourth-placed Tottenham side.

David Moyes' team have put together a run of five victories in their last six league matches, with only the derby defeat at Anfield to dent a perfect record, and have beaten title chasers Chelsea and Manchester United at Goodison Park in their last two encounters.

Indeed the Toffees have enjoyed the winter months with the 1-0 loss at Liverpool being their only defeat in 12 matches since the end of November.

Much of the revival can be put down to the return from serious injury of several key stars, particularly Mikel Arteta, although Marouane Fellaini has already been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle problem.

Victor Anichebe (back), Tony Hibbert (groin) and Philippe Senderos (back) could return this weekend after their respective injury problems, while Phil Jagielka (knee) is close to a comeback after his long-term absence while Tim Cahill (calf) may be ready to play again next month.

Spurs will have been pleased with the timing of their visit to the DW Stadium on Sunday after enduring a recent dip in form that was threatening to derail their push for a top-four place.

Three months ago they demolished Wigan Athletic 9-1 at White Hart Lane and last weekend, thanks to a Jermain Defoe goal that looked offside and a late brace by substitute Roman Pavlyuchenko, they completed the double over Roberto Martinez's side with a 3-0 victory.

The success on the quagmire that passed for the Latics pitch, ended a barren run of just one victory in six matches during which time Redknapp's side had found the net only three times.

Aaron Lennon's recent absence has been blamed for Spurs' lack of potency in front of goal and the England winger has suffered a setback this week after it was confirmed that he is struggling to overcome a groin problem and may be set for another month on the sidelines.

Long-term injury victims Jonathan Woodgate (groin) and Carlo Cudicini (pelvis) look set to play no further back in the campaign.

Last season in north London, Moyes' side returned to Merseyside with all three points thanks to a 1-0 victory courtesy of Steven Pienaar's second-half goal.
