Sunderland set to take a chance on 4m Tottenham misfit Alan Hutton

Sunderland have rekindled their interest in Tottenham right-back Alan Hutton and are ready to make a £4million bid. Hutton has failed to make an impact during Harry Redknapp's tenure and is keen to revive his career. Sunderland are still on the trail of Wigan's Maynor Figueroa and Middlesbrough's Adam Johnson but Boro's £6million asking price is a sticking point.
