Spurs warned over Arshavin

Tottenham Hotspur risk losing out on the signing of Andrei Arshavin if they continue to refuse to meet Zenit St Petersburg's valuation, the player's agent has warned.

The 27-year-old star of Euro 2008 for Russia has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane throughout the summer but Spurs, like Barcelona before them, are refusing to meet the Russian side's 25million euro valuation.

Reports continue to suggest that Spurs coach Juande Ramos will up his interest in Arshavin should Dimitar Berbatov complete an expected £25million move to Manchester United.

However, the deal is in danger of collapsing according to Arshavin's agent Dennis Lachter.

"Andrei would love to go to England, but if it stays like this there will be no deal," he told the Mail on Sunday.

"Zenit will not sell for a penny less than 25million euros and Tottenham will not go above 22million."
