Spurs sweating on Lennon

Tottenham are still waiting on the fitness of Aaron Lennon as their push for a Europa League place reaches a critical stage against Manchester City on Saturday. Lennon did not appear in Spurs' goalless draw with Everton last weekend after a groin problem he had been carrying worsened. The winger had treatment on Wednesday but his participation on Saturday is still in doubt. Harry Redknapp's side could move up into seventh place in the Premier League if they are victorious against City. Midfielder Jermaine Jenas has credited Spurs' tight home defence for their transformation from relegation candidates to European hopefuls. Record They have won their last four home matches 1-0 and conceded only nine league goals at White Hart Lane this season. If they limit City to one goal or less on Saturday, they will break the club record of 11. "That is why we are where we are. We have creative players and goalscorers but we needed to stop conceding goals," Jenas said. "It's a credit to the whole team. When the records are there it's something we are proud of. We needed a few one-nils, we weren't getting them before - we were losing or drawing." But the 26-year-old is still wary of the threat of Manchester City, saying that his side will have to be careful of their talented attackers. He added: "City are a team we have to be careful of, they have an abundance of players that can hurt you."
