Tottenham may remain at White Hart Lane after deciding not to proceed with their interest in the proposed 80,000 capacity 2012 Olympic Stadium.
Chairman Daniel Levy hinted last year that the club could relocate to the new stadium once the Olympics were over but Spurs have been put off by plans to retain a running track at the venue.
Sporting director Damien Comolli said: "There's no way we're looking to move there. All grounds with a track have a poor atmosphere, attendances are down and clubs say moving there was a mistake.
"We are looking at all possible options, including extending White Hart Lane, but we may go somewhere else.
"Whatever happens, it won't affect the financial stability of the club or the ability to invest in players. The board are determined that doesn't happen and we'll be very careful about it."
