Spurs duo pen new contracts

Tottenham duo Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson have committed their long-term futures to the club by penning new contracts that will keep them at White Hart Lane for another five years.

Jenas has spent the last three seasons with Spurs following his transfer from Newcastle United.

The 25-year-old former Nottingham Forest midfielder has found the net 21 times in 111 appearances for the club.

Dawson, who also started his career at the City Ground, has made 136 first-team appearances for Spurs.

He moved to north London from Forest in January 2005 in a £4million deal.

Both players have represented England and are set to be joined by another member of Fabio Capello's squad on Thursday.

Spurs have called a press conference at which it is expected that David Bentley will be unveiled as Juande Ramos' latest capture.
