Spurs defender Kaboul set for four months out
Tottenham Hotspur's Younes Kaboul has undergone surgery on his knee and is set for four months on the sidelines, the defender announced via his Twitter feed on Thursday.
Kaboul missed last weekend's 1-1 draw against West Brom with the injury and told his followers: "Surgery done with success..Now looking forward for my rehab. I thank you all for your great support as usual!£comingbackstronger."
Shortly afterwards, the France centre-back added: "Sorry I forgot to mention how long (I will be out for)...(It) Should be 4 months."
Kaboul rejoined Spurs from Portsmouth in 2010 and the powerful defender impressed last season.
His absence could see a return to first-team action for Michael Dawson.
Last week Dawson was told he could leave for Premier League rivals QPR but was reluctant to move from north to west London.
Now he could come back into manager Andre Villas-Boas' plans the match against Norwich on Saturday.
Villas-Boas also has Jan Vertonghen, William Gallas and Steven Caulker available at centre-half.
