Spurs close in on Giovani

Giovani Dos Santos looks set to sign for Tottenham Hotspur later this week after the Barcelona star's father revealed a move is close.
The Mexican youngster will cost Spurs a fee of around 9million euros after the north London side beat off competition from Manchester City and Chelsea to clinch Dos Santos' signature.
"Nothing has been finalised," Zizinho told Mexican sports daily Record.
"But it is an honour that a club as important as Tottenham want to sign Giovani, but nothing can be said officially yet.
"Tottenham's ambitious plans have excited Giovani and he just wants to go there and help the team in any way he can.
"It is obvious that leaving Barcelona is a risky decision, but with his qualities it appears that it could be the best option for him."
The 19-year-old impressed at the Under-17 World Cup in 2005 but has been used sparingly by Barca, not making his first-team debut until September 2007.
He went on to score four goals in 11 starts and 22 appearances from the substitute's bench for the Catalan giants in the campaign just ended.
