Spurs agree fee for Zokora

Didier Zokora is heading out of Tottenham Hotspur after they agreed a fee with Sevilla to sell the out-of-favour midfielder.

The Ivory Coast international joined Spurs from French side St Etienne in July 2006 but found starting opportunities hard to come by under manager Harry Redknapp last season.

Zokora had been linked with a move to Spain with the Andalucian club since the Premier League season ended in May.

The 28-year-old made 134 appearances in total for the north London club and was part of the side that won the Carling Cup in 2008.

"We have reached agreement for the transfer of Didier Zokora to Sevilla," read a brief club statement.

"We thank Didier for his contribution and wish him every success for the future."
