Sevilla voice Zokora concerns

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Didier Zokora is a target for Sevilla, but the Spanish side are concerned at the potential asking price.

The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international is set to be allowed to leave Spurs this summer, but Sevilla have baulked at an £8million price-tag.

Sporting director, Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo, told AS: "Zokora is a great player. I have followed him since we first saw him and could not pay for him.

"We know that we have to be realistic in this current economic climate.

"We cannot comment on everything that is published in newspapers, but we have the profile of the midfielders that we want."

Zokora joined Spurs in the summer of 2006 from St Etienne and has made more than 130 appearances for the north London outfit.
