Robinson scotches exit talk

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson has revealed his disappointment at the way he has been treated by Tottenham, but has denied claims that he wants to leave in the transfer window.

The England keeper has been linked with several moves away from White Hart Lane after being dropped in recent weeks in favour of Radek Cerny.

Robinson has hinted that he is unhappy at the way coach Juande Ramos' has handled the situation, but has quashed reports that he wants an immediate transfer.

Instead, the 28-year-old claims he will reassess his situation in the summer.

"If the manager decides that if I'm not performing or I'm not up to the standard that he wants at the time, then he picks the team and you can't argue with that," he told Sky Sports News.

"I was disappointed with the way the situation was handled let's say.

"I saw reports yesterday saying I've put in a transfer request. I've never put in a transfer request.

"The press and media seem to be having a lot of fun and games at my expense recently and I seem to be reading stuff day in, day out.

"The truth of the matter is I'm getting my head down and working as hard as I possibly can to get my place back.

"I've taken a lot of criticism over the last 12 months. I think it's affected me. I think it's unfair. It times have confidence has dipped, but I'm rebuilding it again."
