Redknapp wary of making drastic changes
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admitted he was reluctant to change his starting line-up following their 1-0 win over Fulham.Gareth Bale grabbed the only goal of the game when he reacted brilliantly to flick Rafael van der Vaart's free-kick strike past a wrong-footed Mark Schwarzer three minutes before half-time.However, Spurs looked tired after a virtually-unchanged side played for the third time in six days to propel the club back into the top four but Redknapp said he did not want to change the team for fear of possible repercussions.Redknapp said: "If you go and make seven or eight changes, like Arsenal did (at Wigan), everybody goes, 'Why did he change his team?', if you don't get the result."I stuck with the ones who have played. That's what I consider the best team and we clawed a result out. I thought (Michael) Dawson and (William) Gallas were outstanding when we were under pressure."It's been a good week. Nine points, you can't ask for any more than that over the Christmas period."
