Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that injury-plagued club captain Ledley King is likely to start in Sunday's Carling Cup final against Manchester United.
Twenty-eight-year-old King has only started one game in the last month, but seems set to partner Jonathan Woodgate at the back for Spurs, with Michael Dawson missing the Wembley showpiece for a second successive season.
Redknapp said: "Michael Dawson has been fantastic for me and done a great job, but when Ledley plays we seem to win.
"He played at Manchester City when we won, he played at West Ham when we won and at Hull City when we won.
"You just wish you could get Ledley on the pitch more, because when he plays he has a presence about him.
"Ledley's a very important player to us, so we'll have to see how he is for Sunday."
