Redknapp fears fixture pile-up

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp fears that his side will struggle to cope with a hectic fixture schedule.

Spurs face a run of six games in 17 days, including crucial UEFA Cup games against Shakhtar Donetsk and the Carling Cup Final clash with Manchester United.

Redknapp is unimpressed, saying: "It's crazy the way they've piled the fixtures. After Thursday's game against Shakhtar, we've got three days between every game."

Meanwhile, the Spurs boss is aware of Darren Bent's frustration at his lack of recent first-team starts, adding: "That's what you want. You want people who aren't happy if they aren't in the team.

"If they're happy not playing they're no good to you - if they're just going to take their money.

"Keep doing it on the pitch and he'll play, it's not a problem

"He's got a good chance of playing Monday night at Hull. He's right in my thoughts after coming on at Bolton and doing really well."
