Redknapp expects summer funds

Harry Redknapp believes bringing quality additions to Tottenham is only a question of money. Redknapp splashed out £41m when he re-signed erstwhile Spurs players Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Pascal Chimbonda, as well as Wilson Palacios during the winter transfer window. The big spending paid dividends for the former Portsmouth and West Ham coach who has steered the Londoners out of the depths of the relegation zone and turned them into Europa League challengers. Spurs go to Everton on Saturday requiring a win to boost their chances of qualifying for the formerly known Uefa Cup and Redknapp, who met with chairman Daniel Levy earlier this week, is confident of improving the squad again this summer. Ambition"Daniel is keen as me to push on, he has shown his ambition," Redknapp told the Telegraph Sport. "He wants to keep on moving forward. I got good players to Portsmouth as we paid them good money. "If someone gets offered a lot of money, and it's a good deal and it suits them, and a good contract, they will go, in 90 per cent of cases." Redknapp, however, does not expect to be as busy in the transfer market this summer as he was in January. "I am not looking to make major changes, but if you get one or two very, very good players in that would improve the extra percentage, it would make a big difference," he added. "But it is getting those players, finding them, being able to afford them."
