Real reject clearout reports
18 Jun 2009 - 10:00:19
Real Madrid have denied reports suggesting they have faxed Premier League clubs with a list of players who they have made available for transfer.
Earlier in the week it was claimed that the Spanish club were looking to offload up to 10 first-team players in a bid to help balance the books at the Bernabeu.
Real have already signed Brazil star Kaka in a £59million deal while Cristiano Ronaldo is set to sign from Manchester United for a world record £80million fee.
Valencia's Spain striker David Villa is also believed to be on the verge of joining the big-spending Madrid club for a fee in the region of £35million.
In response, Tottenham Hotspur were linked with a triple raid to sign Arjen Robben, Gabriel Heinze and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Real.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy was reported to be considering a move back to England with Fulham.
However, Real have released an official statement denying that they have contacted any other club with a list of unwanted players.
"Real Madrid want to categorically deny said information," said the statement.
