Germany striker Lukas Podolski has dropped another strong hint that his future could lie in the Premier League with reported suitors Tottenham Hotspur.
The 23-year-old hitman has endured two frustrating seasons on the fringes of the first team at Bayern Munich and has suggested he could leave the Bundesliga champions should he fail to convince incoming coach Jurgen Klinsmann that he deserves a starting place.
Spurs have been strongly linked with an £8million move for the striker, who has scored three goals during Germany's ride to the semi-finals of Euro 2008.
Podolski rose to prominence during the 2006 World Cup where he was named the young player of the tournament.
"The Euros are the only thing that counts for me at the moment," he said.
"I will start thinking about other things when they are over. If I don't see the chance of playing for Bayern under Jurgen Klinsmann then I will have to consider my future.
"I am not a footballer who is prepared to just sit on the bench."
