O'Hara's return pleases Harry
27 Feb 2009 - 08:24:57
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp hopes Jamie O'Hara will be able to feature in the Carling Cup Final against Manchester United after the midfielder returned to action against Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday.
The 22-year-old has been sidelined for the last four weeks with a groin injury but was able to play in Thursday's 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane against the Ukrainian side, a result that ended Spurs' European interest for another season.
Redknapp, who had selected a weakened side for the UEFA Cup clash, was impressed with O'Hara, saying after the match: "He's had a groin problem and it's how he reacts to it after this game.
"Jamie was outstanding in his first game back for a month. He's had an injury or he'd have been in my team.
"He was top class. You see how much it means to him, he came out and wanted to play.
"He is a terrific passer and gives you balance, he can play wide or inside and he is in my plans. He is a fantastic boy as well. You'd have him in your side any day of the week."
