Injury-plagued Tottenham captain Ledley King has set his sights on representing England at next year's World Cup.   King's future - at both domestic and international level - has been under constant scrutiny in the last couple of years due to his ongoing knee complaint.   The Spurs skipper was a surprise call-up to Fabio Capello's squad for the double-header against Slovakia and Ukraine but was forced to pull out with a recurrence of the problem.   Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp was initially unsure about King's recall, given his own struggles in getting the player out on a regular basis, but went on to back him for a spot should England qualify for South Africa 2010.   King of England: Ledley King on international duty Now King has laid down his own expectations.   'It's a difficult situation,' King told the May edition of Hotspur magazine.   'My priority first and foremost is always Spurs, but of course every player wants to represent his country at the highest level and, with the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign going so well, there is a real opportunity to do something great on the international stage again.    Knee injury casts doubt over Spurs striker Bent's seasonEXCLUSIVE - the Gazza interview: On his fears for Newcastle, going to Inter with Jose and being back in love with the gamePavlyuchenko agent reveals Redknapp assurances over striker's uncertain Spurs futureTOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC
