Valencia are considering making a move for Tottenham Hotspur's experienced Spanish goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez.
Sanchez, 37, is back-up to Heurelho Gomes at White Hart Lane following his arrival under former coach Juande Ramos last season.
Valencia are desperate to secure some goalkeeping cover, after losing regular number one Renan Brito for six weeks through injury and are pondering making a move for the former Real Zaragoza man.
"We need to sign a goalkeeper because of the injury to Renan. We must also think about finances and the economic situation of the club," said coach Unai Emery.
"Cesar fits into these parameters. He already knows the Spanish league and he would adapt and be incorporated immediately.
"He would be ready to come and although he is 37 years old he is full of desire."
