Lennon: Berbatov will stay

Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon is confident that team-mate Dimitar Berbatov will still be at White Hart Lane next season. Berbatov has been an instant hit since his £10.9million arrival from Bayer Leverkusen, netting 21 goals in all competitions for Martin Jol's side. That has sparked rumours of interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea, but Lennon thinks Berbatov will stay to improve further in north London. He told Sky Sports: "Berba has been a great player for us and it would be a massive loss to the club if we lost him in the summer, but I think he will be staying. "He seems very happy to me. He loves it down here, loves London and I don't think there will be a chance of Berba leaving." Earlier in the week the Daily Mail had quoted a source inside Spurs as saying: "The repeated transfer speculation is becoming tiresome because no-one wants Berba to leave and he's happy to stay. "Berba has already clearly indicated his head will not be turned and we look forward to another fantastic year from him in our colours next season."
