Leigertwood admires Adel's skills

Published: 24 Mar 2009 - 15:45:00

QPR midfielder Mikele Leigertwood is hoping his chalk and cheese partnership with Adel Taarabt could yet guide the Londoners to the play-offs. Leigertwood's no-nonsense style has been complemented by the tricks and flicks of the recent arrival on loan from Tottenham.Taarabt, 19, has already become a huge crowd favourite at Loftus Road and hit Rangers' winner in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Bristol City."Adel tries all his tricks in training with the nutmegs and the stepovers, that's his style of play," said Leigertwood." Certain people like to win tackles to build their confidence, he likes to nutmeg people and do tricks. He's fitted in very well - and he's got that swagger about him."
