Lee Young-Pyo looks to have played his last game for Tottenham after they accepted an offer from AS Roma for the South Korea full-back.
The Serie A side have been chasing Lee's signature for some time and failed with a bid during the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old has since lost his place as first choice left-back to Benoit Assou-Ekotto, a summer signing from Lens, and Spurs are now willing to do business.
Lee's agent, Chin Sung-Won, told the Yonhap news agency: "Tottenham and AS Roma have agreed in principle to the transfer of Lee Young-Pyo.
"We are in talks with AS Roma on detailed contract terms. You can consider the deal as almost sealed, as the only remaining procedure is the player's decision."
Lee joined Tottenham from PSV Eindhoven in a £1.3million deal in August 2005 and has since started 34 Premiership matches.
