King won't be rushed

Tottenham head coach Juande Ramos insists he will not rush Ledley King back to regular first-team football too quickly.

The 27-year-old England international underwent knee surgery last summer and was not able to return to the first team until the 5-1 victory against Fulham on Boxing Day.

Since then, King has made five more starts but has not featured in the first team since the Carling Cup semi-final win against Arsenal almost two weeks ago.

The central defender's niggling knee problems forced Fabio Capello to leave him out of the England squad for this week's friendly international against Switzerland, and Ramos is frustrated by the current position.

"I really want him to play every week," he said.

"But this is something we can't control and we have to wait and see how his injury is.

"Right now he can't play any more than he does."
