Keane revels in Spurs life

Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane is set to make his 250th appearance for the club in the weekend clash with Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane.

The 27-year-old Irishman joined Spurs in the summer of 2002 from Leeds United and has scored 106 goals in his 249 appearances to date.

Keane told the club's official website: "I've always said from day one that this was the place I wanted to be and it was a club going in the right direction, a club going places.

"I wanted to be part of that and I want to continue to be part of it for as long as I can.

I'm more than at home here and everyone here makes me feel so welcome. As long as I have that, I'll always feel part of the club.

"There's been a few landmarks this season, 100 goals, 250 games, personally it's been a fantastic season for me and winning the Carling Cup capped it off."
