Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has praised Robbie Keane in the build-up to Sunday's final Premier League game of the season at Liverpool.
The Republic of Ireland international endured an ill-fated six-month spell at Anfield before returning to Spurs in January.
Redknapp cannot understand why the 28-year-old struggled to impress at Liverpool, saying: "It was part of his life and it didn't work out for whatever reason.
"He's back here now and has done fantastically well for us and helped us get to where we are. Our form since he came back at the end of January has been top class. So we're pleased to have him here.
"Liverpool fans are special people as far as football supporters go and I'm sure they'll give him a terrific reception.
"He gave everything he had when he was there and I'm sure he's looking forward to going back to play there with us.
"We all look forward to going to Liverpool because there's nowhere with the same feeling as going to Anfield, when the Kop's in full voice."
