Jol calm on Spurs future

Under-pressure Tottenham boss Martin Jol refused to contemplate his future after his side's thrilling comeback against Aston Villa.

Spurs bounced back from a 4-1 deficit to claim a point courtesy of a last-gasp Younes Kaboul equaliser at White Hart Lane on Monday night, with the draw reportedly saving the under-fire Dutchman's job.

But despite being mobbed by his players after they pulled level at 4-4, Jol refused to discuss his future at the full-time whistle.

"It's not about me but it was nice to celebrate with them," he admitted.

Asked whether the result had any bearing on his position, he added:"I thought about my future for the last six weeks so that's nothing new.

"I don't know. It's not up to me."

On the comeback performance, he added: "I don't know what to feel. It was awful but on the other hand it was a big celebration at the end.

"We almost spoiled the night and it was a great night. We came back from the death and that was a big positive.

"I don't think I've ever been involved in a game like this."
