Jol: Spurs not big enough for Luis

Martin Jol has taken a swipe at his former employers Tottenham by insisting they are not big enough to sign Ajax's Luis Suarez this summer. The Uruguayan star is already attracting a great deal of attention from around Europe after two stunning seasons in Amsterdam. Spurs are understood to have joined the list of admirers, but Ajax coach Jol has told them they would be wasting their time. "I know that Luis will not leave Ajax for - with all due respect - a club like Tottenham Hotspur," he said. "He will only go to one of the very top clubs." Suarez himself has recently stated that he does not intend to leave Ajax this summer.
