Hutton gives Harry headache

Alan Hutton is hoping to force his way back into Harry Redknapp's Tottenham plans in the coming weeks. The Scotland international made his long-awaited return from injury for Spurs in their 1-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday. The full-back entered the fold following an injury to Michael Dawson and made a positive impression despite being sidelined for much of the campaign. He began the season nursing a fractured foot and aggravated the same problem during a short-lived comeback in October. He has featured in international action for his country since then, but has been forced to bide his time as he looked to earn domestic recall. That opportunity has now arisen, albeit it at Dawson's expense, and Hutton is determined to play a major role in Tottenham's quest to secure European football for next term. Lesson learned "It's been a long time in coming but I'm feeling fit and ready, so when I got the call to go on, I was happy," the defender told the club's official website following the weekend win. "I've learned my lesson from last time, when I perhaps came back too quickly and ended up hurting myself even more. "It's been a more gradual comeback this time and everything seems to have worked perfectly, so I'll just push on from here. "The team's been doing really well and winning games, so it was always going to be hard for me to just walk back in. "Daws getting injured is not a nice thing to see, but it did give me my opportunity. "There are five games left and I want to be involved as much as possible. Hopefully I'll give the manager a headache now."
