Harry's stance irks Lokomotiv

Lokomotiv Moscow are annoyed that Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is refusing to let Roman Pavlyuchenko move to the Russian capital.

Lokomotiv president Nikolai Naumov believes that the Spurs board had ratified the 28-year-old's transfer to his club last month, only for Redknapp to veto the move.

Pavlyuchenko was expected to leave White Hart Lane in January after Redknapp signed Eidur Gudjohnsen, but it was club captain Robbie Keane who departed in a loan move to Celtic.

Russian clubs still able to buy players until mid-March but Naumov said: "It's our understanding that the view within Tottenham is split.

"The directors have no objection to selling the player but the coach wants to keep him until at least the summer. We'll talk about the transfer at the end of the season."

Pavlyuchenko has found the net 16 times in 28 starts and 16 appearances from the substitute's bench for Spurs following his arrival in north London from Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2008.
