Harry rues worst performance

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp claimed Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at Wolves was his side's worst performance of the season.

Spurs saw their hopes of a top four finish and Champions League football for next season suffer a huge dent after a second defeat to the season at the hands of the struggling Molineux club.

David Jones' 27th-minute strike proved decisive and afterwards Redknapp was in critical mood.

"I'm very disappointed. It was probably our worst performance of the season," he declared.

"We had loads of the ball and were camped in their half second half but never really threatened enough to score.

"They worked hard and closed us down and made it difficult for us and we never overcame that tonight."

Speaking about a first-half chance for Niko Kranjcar when the Croatia midfieldwe was through one-on-one with the goalkeeper, he added: "When Niko went through, if he had scored it would have been a different game.

"In the second half they got bodies behind the ball and defended their lead well.

"We've dropped six points against Wolves, which looks like being very costly, but what can you do?"
