Harry plans 'creative' summer
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is going to have to 'be creative' in the summer transfer market. Spurs have flourished since Redknapp took over last October and the White Hart Lane outfit have an outside chance of qualifying for next season's Europa League. The North London club are keen to kick on next season and their manager is looking to make changes to a squad which has been largely inherited from predecessor Juande Ramos. Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta has been linked with Spurs, while Wolfsburg forward Edin Dzeko has emerged as a possible target. Discussions But Redknapp has declared that, after discussions with chairman Daniel Levy, he will need to raise funds in order to bring in new faces. "We need to sell one or two, in his (Levy's) words, be creative in the transfer market in the summer," he said. Meanwhile, Levy has saluted the job Redknapp has done in turning around the fortunes of Tottenham this season. "Whilst it was undoubtedly the more difficult option at the time, I am delighted that the changes have proved to have been the correct ones and that we have been able to enjoy a positive ending to our season," Levy said. "It has been a terrific team effort led by Harry Redknapp and I am extremely grateful for the drive and determination of all concerned to effect this turnaround."
