Harry explains Palacios absence

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed Wilson Palacios missed the goalless draw with Everton following the discovery of a body believed to be that of his kidnapped younger brother. The body of Palacios' brother Edwin, who was kidknapped in October 2007, is believed to have been found in Honduras. Police in Honduras said that remains thought to be the youngster's had been found in a mountainous area after two jailed gang members admitted to killing him and told them the location of his body. Redknapp admitted Palacios, who travelled with the Spurs squad to Merseyside on Friday, had returned to Honduras following the news. "We lost Wilson Palacios today. He got the message at 7am this morning about his brother and he had to rush home," said Redknapp. "It was a bad morning seeing the kid in the state he was in." Redknapp felt the draw with Everton was a fair result after both sides cancelled each other out at Goodison Park. "I thought it was a fair result," added Redknapp. "In the first half we played ever so well and controlled the game, but in the second half they came into it a lot more. "There were not many clear-cut chances and I thought a draw was probably a fair result." Spurs employed a 3-5-2 formation instead of their usual 4-4-2 set-up and Redknapp was happy at how it worked out. "We changed the system today with three centre-halves, wing-backs and they did everything we wanted them to do in that system," noted Redknapp. "It became more difficult in the second half, but it was a good learning experience. "It answered a few questions for next year in terms of players and shape."
