Gudjohnsen happy with Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur loanee Eidur Gudjohnsen says that he is enjoying life back in England, having impressed in the 2-1 weekend victory at Stoke City.

The 31-year-old Iceland international joined Spurs on loan from Monaco in the January transfer window, having previously enjoyed spells in England with Bolton Wanderers and Chelsea.

Gudjohnsen said: "Football is about being happy what you're doing and I feel alive since I came back to England.

"In France I just didn't enjoy it, I didn't connect to my surroundings. When you do that and you're not happy in your work, it's difficult to get the best out of yourself.

"That's why I decided to move back to England. I've had to be patient and it was really enjoyable to be back on the pitch.

"Of course getting into the Champions League is at the back of our minds. We're in the fourth place and we're going to try and protect that for as long as we can."
