Tottenham have appealed to the Football Association against the red card shown by referee Phil Dowd to Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly in the closing stages of Sunday's controversial 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers.
Ghaly was dismissed for allegedly elbowing Michael Gray in stoppage time.
Blackburn have also appealed against Tugay's red card for bringing down Ghaly earlier in the game in an incident that allowed Jermain Defoe to fire home Spurs' equaliser from the penalty spot.
However, the FA are not expected to bring disciplinary charges against Spurs boss Martin Jol for his critical post-match comments about Dowd's performance.
It is understood Dowd's match report has confirmed he did not send Jol to the stands, despite the Dutchman believing otherwise.
On Ghaly's red card, Jol had said: "It was never intentional, he just jumped with his arms high, that was the only thing."
Ghaly's appeal will be heard by a Disciplinary Commission on Tuesday.
