EXCLUSIVE: Spurs line up 8m swoop for Bordeaux star striker Chamakh

Tottenham are leading the chase for in-form Bordeaux frontrunner Marouane Chamakh. Manager Harry Redknapp has ordered scouting reports on the 25-year old after being alerted to growing interest in him from clubs in the Barclays Premier League and Bundesliga. Newcastle failed in a bid to prise him away from the Stade Chaban Delmas earlier this season, while Arsenal and Liverpool have also been represented at recent Bordeaux games as the French-born Morocco international continues to build a reputation as one of Ligue 1's most accomplished target men.
