Dawson wins the captain's armband at Spurs after Keane's move to Celtic

Leading by example: Dawson Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has named Michael Dawson club captain. Central defender Dawson takes over the armband after Robbie Keane joined Celtic on loan for the rest of the season. Keane took over the captaincy from Ledley King when he arrived back at Spurs from Liverpool 12 months ago but Redknapp decided against reinstating the defender due to the ongoing knee problems which prevent him playing every game. Centre-half Dawson leads his team-mates for the first time in Wednesday night's FA Cup replay at Leeds.
