Cisse open to Prem switch

Published: 20 Aug 2011 - 13:14:00

Freiburg striker Papiss Demba Cisse says he would be interested in a move to the Premier League if one of his numerous suitors makes a bid. Cisse, who has been linked with Blackburn, Fulham, Sunderland and Tottenham this summer, made a name for himself by netting 22 goals in the Bundesliga last season. His club's £13million valuation of him has proved a stumbling block so far, but the 26-year-old is open to a move to the Premier League while the summer transfer window remains open. "We will see what will happen. Everything remains open," the Senegal international told L'Equipe. "I am attracted by England or a big German club. But I don't forget that my club allowed me to launch my career. "They have always trusted me, even when I experienced difficulties when I first joined the club." Cisse has netted seven goals in nine appearances for his country and is also on the radar of Bundesliga giants Schalke.
